What your contribution will do:

• Provide access for all to Adventure’s educational offerings. Build on the thousands of students we have served to date, most of whom are from low-to-moderate income backgrounds. Students learn not just the history, but nautical science and STEM lessons utilizing the design, function, and operation of a sailing ship. Teamwork, leadership, and communication skills are also part of their immersive, hands-on learning experience.

• Foster growth in program partnerships with nonprofits like Maritime Gloucester, Girls Inc., the Northshore Education Consortium, Mass Audubon, the Gloucester 400th Committee, and a growing list of more than a dozen others. Partnerships enable us to share our strengths to benefit the community and fulfill our access and inclusion goals.

• Support the work of our amazing volunteers, who provide invaluable service to our organization, over 5,000 hours a year, and whose dedication is inspirational.

• Build our Descendants’ Sail program to connect Schooner fishing families to their legacies. We have brought hundreds of these descendants sailing to date. Help us share their stories during the Gloucester 400th and beyond to inspire civic pride and sense of place.
