CHARTER SCHOONER ADVENTURE
CORPORATE EVENTS, PARTIES, FAMILY REUNIONS, STAFF OUTINGS, WEDDINGS, EDUCATION PROGRAMS
If you’re hosting a special event for your friends, family, clients, or employees, you want it to be memorable. Sailing aboard Adventure is fun, scenic, local, environmentally friendly, and a fascinating lesson in regional history. Passengers can participate in raising the sails, take a turn at the helm, learn something new, or simply relax, unwind and sail! We are able to customize each charter to fit your needs. Whether corporate outing, wedding, or private party, come aboard with us for an unforgettable sailing experience in the waters off Cape Ann
Built in 1926, Adventure is an authentic, 122 foot, Essex-built, wooden fishing schooner sailing out of Gloucester. Deemed a “highliner” she was the biggest moneymaker of her era during her 27-year fishing career. When she retired in 1953, she was the last American vessel to fish the Grand Banks of Newfoundland using hook and line from dories. Designated as a National Historic Landmark, she is fully restored, USCG licensed, and ready for your next adventure.
Adventure is available for 2 1/2 to 4 hour charters late May to mid October and includes a fully crewed vessel.
Maximum capacity is 60 passengers while underway. Dockside Events can accommodate up to 75 participants. Food and beverages are not included in the charter fee but you are welcome to bring your own. We are happy to recommend fine local caterers who are familiar with Adventure for your event. We can offer additional options such as local live music on board, educational activities, and guest gifts from the Adventure ship’s store.
Please visit our online calendar to see when the vessel might be available. Some dates that appear open may be in the process of being held for other sails or charters. We welcome the opportunity to discuss rates and scheduling with you and accept your booking request via phone at 978-281-8079 or email our Charter Manager, Becca Campbell at firstname.lastname@example.org.
